My Testimony

A STORY OF REBELLION, ADDICTION, DELIVERANCE, AND THE SONGS GOD GAVE ME TO FIND PEACE, COURAGE AND HOPE.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1960, I accepted Christ as my savior at a young age. By 13, I felt the Holy Spirit powerfully in my life. However, at 14, I was introduced to drugs and alcohol, sparking a many years-long tug-of-war between serving God and chasing the party lifestyle. Even in my rebellion, people noticed my faith. I remember a friend once telling me, "I have full respect for you... when you're trying to be serious with God, nobody can make you do what you don't want to do." Still, I couldn't fully break the cycle.

My addiction escalated to include alcohol, pills, powders, and needles. Around age 17, a dangerous bet led to a severe overdose. I died twice on the way to the hospital and woke up temporarily blind. Despite surviving that—and countless other bizarre accidents through what I know was God's protection—my struggle continued. It persisted through a stint in Teen Challenge, an 18-year marriage, a painful divorce, and even a period of living out of my car. Later, a severe accident led to a crippling opiate addiction that almost took my life.

When I hit absolute rock bottom with opiates, I cried out to God, begging for help. By His grace, I was instantly delivered. Within four days, I was clean with almost no withdrawals. God never left me.

I got my first acoustic guitar at 13, but the true gift of songwriting came years later. Around 2015, God began pouring lyrics and melodies into my mind so fast I would have to pull over on the highway or stop doctors mid-sentence just to write them down. I didn't write these songs on my own; God gave them to me.

Today, I live in the Philippines with my beautiful wife. Recently, I discovered AI tools like Suno, which finally allowed me to hear the full arrangements of the songs exactly as God placed them in my heart.

My goal is to encourage people, give hope, and share the songs God placed in my heart. This is a ministry, I am not doing this for personal profit—my basic needs are met by the grace of God. But because I am building this site on a low pension, creating the high-quality videos and AI content needed to reach people visually takes a lot of time and resources.

If you feel comfortable making a donation or buying merchandise in the future, every single penny will be poured right back into creating this music and video content to help spread the message. Thank you for reading my testimony, and keep me in your prayers!
